Caitlin Clark made it clear that when it comes to defending A’ja Wilson, there’s not much anyone can do. As the Indiana Fever prepare to face the Las Vegas Aces on Wednesday, Clark shared her thoughts on Wilson’s unstoppable dominance, effectively putting to rest any debate about the WNBA MVP race.
With both teams heading toward the postseason, the Fever have yet to secure a win against the powerhouse Aces this season. Their biggest challenge? Stopping the relentless force that is A’ja Wilson. Wilson has been putting up historic numbers, and when asked about her performance, Clark didn’t hold back on her admiration.
“She’s pretty incredible. I mean, you watch her, and it’s just unguardable. There’s nothing anybody can do to stop it. She’s just that dominant,” Clark said, smiling during her interview with ClutchPoints’ Matthew Byrne.

You watch her and it’s just unguardable… everybody in the league knows you can’t guard it, you basically live with what she’s going to do to you every single night. You contain it as best you can.” pic.twitter.com/qwPI74lBCo

Clark added, “It’s fun to watch… everybody in the league knows you can’t guard it. You basically just live with what she’s going to do to you every single night. You just try to contain it as best you can.”
Clark’s comments echo what many, including WNBA legend Diana Taurasi, have said earlier this month: Wilson is simply unguardable. With glowing endorsements from players like Clark and Taurasi, Wilson’s MVP status is becoming more undeniable with each game she plays.
“What she’s doing right now is unthinkable. … She’s just unguardable. You guys look at her as a post, I look at her as a guard.”
