Two of Arkansas’ biggest corporate giants, Walmart and Tyson Foods, are now officially sponsors of Razorback Stadium’s Frank Broyles Field, marking a significant partnership as the University of Arkansas embraces on-field logo sponsorships for the first time.
In the wake of the NCAA’s recent approval of on-field logo sponsorships, Arkansas had kept quiet about its intentions. However, just 48 hours before their home opener, the Razorbacks revealed that the logos of two of the state’s most well-known companies—Walmart and Tyson Foods—will be displayed on the 25-yard lines of the field.
With the Razorbacks’ home opener delayed until the third week of the season, they were one of the few teams yet to unveil sponsorship logos, while other programs across the nation have already taken advantage of the new rule change. Now, Arkansas joins the trend with some highly recognizable names, reinforcing the strong connection between the university and local businesses.
Local Support from National Brands
Walmart, headquartered in Bentonville, and Tyson Foods, based in Springdale, are two powerhouses in both the state and the national business landscape. Walmart’s logo will grace the North End Zone side of the 50-yard line, while Tyson Foods’ logo will be displayed on the South End. This partnership highlights their continued investment in Arkansas and its student-athletes.
Doug McMillon, President and CEO of Walmart, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “We’re excited to expand the ways in which we stand alongside these talented students. It’s an honor to support the Razorbacks and show our commitment to their success both on and off the field.”
For Tyson Foods, the partnership comes at an opportune time, just weeks after the launch of their new Razorback Nuggets—chicken nuggets shaped like the Razorback mascot, a fun and unique nod to the school’s identity. Tyson Foods’ message was clear in their support for the community and student-athletes: “At Tyson Foods, we are deeply committed to supporting students, student-athletes, college sports, and our local communities. By investing in college education and athletic programs, we aim to foster growth and talent, ensuring a brighter future for the next generation.”
More Than Just Logos
The partnership goes beyond just field logos. Both companies will engage with Razorback fans through exclusive sponsorship activations, events, promotions, and content collaborations featuring student-athletes. This provides fans with more ways to connect with the brands while supporting their favorite team.
The debut of these logos will be during the Razorbacks’ home opener at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, in a game broadcast nationally on the SEC Network. Fans both in the stadium and watching from home will be able to see these iconic Arkansas brands displayed prominently on the field for the first time, marking the beginning of a new era in college sports sponsorships.
