Florida State running back Roydell Williams found the end zone in the third quarter, providing a much-needed spark for the struggling Seminoles offense.
The Seminoles’ offense has been woefully inconsistent, unable to sustain solid drives throughout the game. In Week 3, they faced the Memphis Tigers, a team led by head coach Mike Norvell for nearly half a decade before his move to Florida State.
Trailing 13-3 at halftime after a dismal first half, the Seminoles finally broke through in the third quarter. Quarterback DJ Uiagalelei connected with wide receiver Malik Benson on a 67-yard pass, which set up a four-yard touchdown run by Williams, putting the Seminoles back on the scoreboard.

While the touchdown brought some relief, it was largely the result of a single explosive play rather than sustained offensive execution. Florida State still struggled to move the ball methodically down the field, failing to consistently blend the run and pass games or sustain meaningful drives.
Despite the score, Florida State remains in a tough spot, still trailing Memphis by multiple scores. With the team winless on the season, the touchdown brought little relief to the Seminoles’ fading hopes, as they have yet to demonstrate the consistency needed to mount a serious comeback.
