The No. 4-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide delivered a commanding performance in their first road game of the season, defeating the Wisconsin Badgers 42-10. This game marked a strong start for Alabama under head coach Kalen DeBoer.
Quarterback Jalen Milroe showcased his dual-threat capabilities with an impressive outing. Milroe rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries, while also excelling in the passing game, completing 12 of 17 attempts for 196 yards and three touchdowns.
Alabama’s defense was solid across the board. Notably, linebacker Overton had a standout game, recording six tackles, including one for loss, a sack, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup. The Crimson Tide defense was effective in limiting Wisconsin’s offense, holding them to just 290 total yards and forcing the Badgers to convert only 3 of 14 third-down attempts.
Turnover issues that had plagued Alabama in previous games were not a factor in this matchup. The Tide recovered two of four forced fumbles and did not commit any turnovers themselves.
With this victory, Alabama improves to 3-0, while Wisconsin falls to 2-1. The Badgers will face another significant challenge next week as they travel to play No. 11 USC.
Alabama, meanwhile, will enjoy a bye week next Saturday. However, their next game on September 28 will be highly anticipated, as they host No. 1 Georgia at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This matchup is expected to be one of the most eagerly awaited games of the college football regular season, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
