The Beavers’ social media account shared a photo of Griffin in the provocative shirt on Instagram.
The shirt’s slogan seems to be a nod to the iconic ‘I Love My Ducks’ video, a viral sensation from the Chip Kelly era. Originally a class project by Oregon students Brian McAndrew, Jamie Slade, and Michael Bishop, the video, published in November 2009, has become a beloved piece of Ducks fan culture.
Recent conference realignment has altered traditional schedules, including this storied matchup. Instead of facing the Beavers during the customary rivalry weekend at season’s end, the Ducks will make the trip to Corvallis for their Week 3 game.
