After the Dallas Cowboys’ disappointing loss to the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Dak Prescott reflected on a contentious moment with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb during the game.
Both Prescott and Lamb recently received substantial contract extensions from owner Jerry Jones, but the team’s performance has not matched their investments, resulting in a 1-2 record to start the season. In their past two games against the Saints and Ravens, the Cowboys’ offense has struggled, failing to keep pace with high-profile players like Derek Carr, Alvin Kamara, Lamar Jackson, and Derrick Henry.
During the first half of the Ravens game, tensions flared when Lamb expressed his frustration by shouting at Prescott. The incident was caught on camera, raising questions about their chemistry on the field.
In response to the heated exchange, Prescott emphasized that his focus was on supporting Lamb. “I’m not really into reading body language. I just want to make sure he doesn’t get down on himself. Whether it’s good or bad, it’s irrelevant. It’s all about where his mind is. It’s understandable to feel disappointed when you’re passionate and hold high expectations for yourself. My goal is to remind him there’s always a next play. Don’t dwell on it,” Prescott stated.
As the Cowboys continue to face challenges early in the season, maintaining strong communication and morale among their star players will be crucial if they hope to contend for a playoff spot.
