The Ohio State Buckeyes’ five-star commit has been nothing short of electric during his final year of high school.
Next season, the Buckeyes are poised to have one of the most talented quarterback rooms in college football. Alongside former four-star prospects Devin Brown and Air Noland, the roster will feature transfer portal acquisition Julian Sayin. Additionally, Lincoln Keinholz is another standout who often goes overlooked amidst such a talented group of quarterbacks.
However, the depth of the quarterback room will only improve with the addition of five-star Tavien St. Clair, the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2025 class according to 247Sports. St. Clair has been exceptional in his senior season, throwing for 1,154 yards and 14 touchdowns in just five games, leading Bellefontaine to a solid 4-1 record.

Since committing to Ohio State in 2023, St. Clair has rapidly climbed the ranks in his class. Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 225 pounds, he set a school record with 3,983 passing yards and an impressive completion rate of 70.6 percent during his junior year.
His outstanding performance continued at the 2024 Elite 11 Finals in June, where he garnered significant recognition among his peers.
With current starting quarterback Will Howard entering his final year of eligibility, the competition for the starting position will be wide open next season. While Brown currently holds the backup role, St. Clair, along with Sayin and Noland, all have the potential to compete for the coveted QB1 spot when the time comes. This influx of talent bodes well for Ohio State’s future at the quarterback position.
