The Dallas Cowboys secured a 20-15 victory over their NFC East rivals, the New York Giants, during Thursday Night Football at MetLife Stadium. Quarterback Dak Prescott led his team to the win with an efficient performance, throwing for 221 yards and two touchdowns while completing 22-of-27 passes.
After the game, Prescott took a moment to speak with Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, offering a quick but respectful message. “Stay healthy,” Prescott told Jones. “See you again, take care.”
The two quarterbacks are set to meet again on November 28th in Dallas for their second divisional matchup of the season. With this victory, the Cowboys improved to 2-2, while the Giants dropped to 1-3.
Heading into the game, Dallas had been facing scrutiny about their offensive capabilities. While their defensive struggles had dominated headlines in recent seasons, standouts like Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs have helped stabilize that side of the ball. However, new challenges on offense have emerged, particularly an inexperienced offensive line and a lackluster running game, two areas that had been strong points for the Cowboys over the past decade.
Running back Rico Dowdle led the Cowboys in rushing with 46 yards, but the offense struggled to convert on third downs, completing just 3-of-10 attempts. This was partly due to the pressure exerted by New York’s defensive front, which disrupted Prescott and the offensive line.

With the win behind them, the Cowboys will have an extended break before their next game. Following their Week 4 victory, Dallas will hit the road to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on October 6th. Pittsburgh, currently undefeated at 3-0, has notched wins against the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers.
The upcoming game against the Steelers presents a new challenge, as the Cowboys look to maintain momentum and improve their record.
