Will Oregon Ducks 5-Star Wide Receiver Dallas Wilson Flip to Florida or Miami?
Dallas Wilson, a five-star wide receiver from Tampa Bay Tech, has been committed to the Oregon Ducks since January 2023. However, despite his long-standing pledge, top programs across the country—especially the Miami Hurricanes and Florida Gators—are still actively recruiting him.
Wilson is a key figure in Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class, but the Ducks must remain vigilant in keeping his commitment secure as National Signing Day approaches. According to Steve Wiltfong from On3, Oregon faces a challenge in ensuring that Wilson remains with the Ducks amid increasing interest from other schools. Although the 6-foot-3, 195-pound wide receiver is committed, Miami, Florida, and others are not giving up.
“It’s going to be tough to flip the Tampa product from Oregon,” Wiltfong noted. “He’ll be back in Eugene soon, but Miami, Florida, and other programs will continue to try and chip away at the coveted pass catcher.”
Wilson, ranked as the No. 8 wide receiver and the No. 5 overall player in Florida by 247Sports, has made multiple visits since his commitment. He made an unofficial visit to Eugene in April, followed by an official visit in June. Additionally, he visited Miami and Florida in June and is set to take an official visit to Florida State on November 29.
Beyond the Hurricanes and Gators, other elite programs like Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Ohio State, and Texas A&M are also pursuing Wilson, reflecting his high value in the 2025 class. His impressive performance—89 catches for 1,747 yards and 21 touchdowns over the past two high school seasons—demonstrates why he’s such a coveted talent.
Wilson is one of the cornerstones of Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class, which is currently ranked No. 7 nationally by On3. The class already boasts several standout recruits, including fellow five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore, safety Tre McNutt, and a collection of four-star talents like quarterback Akili Smith Jr. and linebacker Nasir Wyatt. The trio of Wilson, Moore, and Cooper Perry creates one of the most formidable receiving corps in the 2025 class, setting Oregon up for offensive success in the future.
According to 247Sports’ Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins, Wilson has “early-round NFL potential,” with college-ready size and the skill set to become a dynamic target at the next level. The Ducks, heading into their first season in the Big Ten, will undoubtedly be working hard to ensure Wilson remains committed as other programs continue their pursuit.
While Oregon prepares for a pivotal season, including an upcoming game against UCLA, keeping Wilson committed remains a top priority. The Ducks will have to fend off programs like Miami and Florida, who are determined to make a late push to flip one of the nation’s top wide receivers.
