WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark couldn’t escape the spotlight, even while making a quick stop for drinks with her Indiana Fever teammate, Lexie Hull. The pair, enjoying some downtime in the offseason, decided to treat themselves at a Swig drive-thru, a popular soda chain. However, Clark’s attempt to remain incognito didn’t go as planned.
In a playful video posted to Hull’s TikTok, Clark was seen pulling up her hoodie, trying to conceal her face while they ordered their drinks. Despite her best efforts, the Swig employee quickly recognized the 2023 WNBA Rookie of the Year. “You’re Caitlin Clark, right?” the employee asked, to which Clark coyly responded, “Maybe,” while trying to hold back her laughter in the passenger seat.
Soon after, a manager came over, excited to meet the star player. As a gesture of appreciation, he presented Clark with a golden mug, explaining, “A golden mug means every time you come to Swig, you just get a free refill,” much to the delight of Clark and Hull.

The duo ordered two drinks each, with Clark opting for a ‘Spring Fling’ with vanilla cream and a ‘Beach Wave,’ while Hull enjoyed a ‘Raspberry Dream’ and a ‘Summer Splash.’ Curious about the manager’s favorite drink, they asked for a recommendation, to which he suggested the ‘Jolly Old Elf.’
While the interaction was lighthearted and fun, it was another reminder of Clark’s growing fame. After a standout college career at Iowa, Clark was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever. Since then, her impressive scoring and playmaking abilities have translated seamlessly into the professional game, earning her widespread recognition on and off the court.
Clark’s rookie season has been nothing short of historic. On September 15, she broke the WNBA rookie scoring record with a 35-point performance in a thrilling win over the Dallas Wings. Additionally, she surpassed Alyssa Thomas’ single-season assist record, tallying 337 assists.
In the Fever’s season-ending loss to the Connecticut Sun, Clark delivered another stellar performance, notching 25 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. She became the first rookie in WNBA history to post a 25-5-5 stat line in a postseason game, further solidifying her reputation as one of the league’s most exciting young talents.
With her on-court achievements and viral off-court moments like this one, Caitlin Clark’s star power continues to rise.
