Alabama and Tennessee have released updates on which players might not be able to play in their upcoming game.
Recently, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) introduced a policy mandating injury reports for football, basketball, and baseball before all conference games. This policy applies only to SEC matchups.
This weekend, No. 7 Alabama will face No. 11 Tennessee in its fourth SEC game of the season. The game will take place at Neyland Stadium on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT, broadcast on ABC.
Initially, players on the injury report are categorized as “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful,” or “out.” On game day, this is updated to “available,” “game time decision,” or “out.”
Alabama Injury Report:
– Yhonzae Pierre, LB – Questionable
– Kendrick Law, WR – Probable
– Kobe Prentice, WR – Probable
– Domani Jackson, CB – Probable
– Cayden Jones, LB – Out
Tennessee Injury Report:
– Jourdan Thomas, DB – Out
– Keenan Pili, LB – Out
– Edwin Spillman, DB – Out
– Cameron Seldon, RB – Questionable
– Lance Heard, OL – Probable
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer shared updates on wide receivers Kendrick Law and Kobe Prentice during Wednesday’s SEC Coaches Teleconference, stating both are “probable” for Saturday’s game, though their status will continue to be monitored.
Law, who sustained a lower-body injury against Georgia, did not travel for Alabama’s loss to Vanderbilt. He was listed as questionable for last week’s game against South Carolina but warmed up before being ruled out.
Prentice, similarly listed as questionable for South Carolina, was ruled out after suffering a head injury during the Vanderbilt game. He left the field on his own but did not return.
On Oct. 8, linebacker Yhonzae Pierre posted a photo from a hospital bed, hinting at a minor injury. DeBoer ruled him out for the South Carolina game and provided a vague update, stating Pierre’s status is still unclear.
The status of cornerback Domani Jackson and linebacker Cayden Jones remains uncertain.
