Bowl Projections for West Virginia Ahead of Week 9.
As losses accumulate for the West Virginia Mountaineers, doubts are growing among fans and media about the team’s chances of qualifying for a bowl game this season.
The Mountaineers have struggled offensively in the past two weeks and now face uncertainty at quarterback, with Garrett Greene listed as questionable for the upcoming game against Arizona due to an upper-body injury.
A loss to Arizona would drop WVU to 3-5 before their bye week, leaving them with little room for error to achieve bowl eligibility. After the bye, West Virginia will face Cincinnati on the road, followed by home games against Baylor and UCF, and will end the season with a trip to Texas Tech.
