The Pittsburgh Steelers claimed another win, thanks to their star defender, T.J. Watt, whose crucial play sealed the game.
In a risky moment for the Steelers, leading by just eight points in the fourth quarter, they needed to run down the clock. But when Russell Wilson fumbled, the Giants were handed excellent field position, putting Pittsburgh’s victory in jeopardy.
Fortunately, the Steelers have one of the league’s top defenders on their side. T.J. Watt, the leader of Pittsburgh’s high-priced defense, once again proved his worth. As the Giants entered the red zone, Watt took control. After a shoestring tackle on Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, he followed with a game-winning strip sack, overpowering the right tackle to make a game-ending play.
Watt was a consistent force throughout the game, finishing with two sacks, a forced fumble, and a recovery. He also contributed seven tackles, five of them solo, bringing his season sack total to 6.5 over eight games.
This performance broke a two-week drought without a sack against the Raiders and Jets, showing why Watt remains one of the NFL’s most dominant defensive players.
