A former Kentucky basketball star may be facing trouble at his new school.
At the conclusion of last basketball season, Kentucky saw a significant roster turnover when head coach John Calipari left for Arkansas. Every scholarship player either entered the NBA or transferred to another school, including star freshman center Aaron Bradshaw, who moved to Ohio State.
Bradshaw has averaged nearly 24 minutes per game in his sophomore season, recording 31 points, 18 rebounds, and six blocks. However, in his most recent game with the Buckeyes, he appeared to suffer a head injury.
When asked about Bradshaw’s status, Ohio State University released a statement indicating that he is not currently involved in team activities, but offered no further details, citing federal privacy laws. The statement raised concerns, as it didn’t seem to be related to an injury.
Ohio State expert Ryan Stano from Fansided expressed concern, suggesting the situation might involve disciplinary action. He stated, “That doesn’t sound good. Normally, when a team releases a statement like this, it’s not a positive sign. It seems Bradshaw could be in trouble, though we don’t know the specifics yet, so I’ll hold off on further speculation.”
While rumors are circulating, it’s unclear whether Bradshaw has been suspended or removed from the team. As Ohio State and Stano mentioned, it’s best not to speculate until more information is available. This is disappointing for a promising young player.
Kentucky and Ohio State are scheduled to face each other on December 21 at 5:30 pm in Madison Square Garden during the HBCU Showcase.
