With the Early Signing Period now complete, Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the most impressive in recent years. Under new head coach Kalen DeBoer, the Crimson Tide’s latest haul rivals some of the best classes built during Nick Saban’s legendary tenure. This group features numerous top-tier talents poised to make an immediate impact on the field.
Where Alabama Ranks Nationally
According to 247Sports Team Rankings, Alabama’s 2025 recruiting class is ranked No. 2 nationally, trailing only Texas. The Crimson Tide has signed 21 players and secured 22 commitments, showcasing a balanced mix of elite prospects across various positions.
Top Recruits in Alabama’s Class
Alabama’s class includes three five-star signees, headlined by Keelon Russell, the No. 2 overall prospect and a quarterback from Texas. Joining him are Michael Carroll, an elite offensive lineman from IMG Academy, and Dijon Lee, a top-ranked cornerback from California.
Additionally, the class boasts 14 four-star recruits, including standout offensive tackle Jackson Lloyd, running back Akylin Dear, and edge rusher Justin Hill. The Tide also secured a notable JUCO signing, Kevonte Henry, a highly ranked defensive lineman.
Biggest Signing Day Surprise
The most surprising addition was four-star wide receiver Derek Meadows, who flipped his commitment from LSU to Alabama on signing day. Meadows, a 6-foot-5 receiver, is ranked No. 119 nationally and adds a dynamic presence to the Tide’s receiving corps.
Missed Opportunities
Alabama faced a few setbacks, with defensive lineman Justus Terry committing to Texas and two key secondary targets, Anquon Fegans and Donovan Starr, opting for Auburn. Additionally, running back Jace Clarizio flipped back to Michigan State.
Despite these misses, Alabama’s class remains loaded with talent, positioning the Tide for sustained success under DeBoer’s leadership.
