In a major boost for the Wildcats’ offensive line, Kentucky has secured two standout transfer portal commitments. Arkansas guard Joshua Braun and Bowling Green offensive tackle Alex Wollschlaeger have both pledged to join the Big Blue Nation, solidifying Kentucky’s offensive line for the upcoming season.
Braun, a 6-foot-6, 340-pound lineman, brings a wealth of experience to the Wildcats. After starting his career at Florida in 2020, Braun spent three years with the Gators before transferring to Arkansas, where he became a staple of the Razorbacks’ offensive line. Braun earned Second-Team All-SEC honors for the 2023 season and will be a key addition at right guard for Kentucky, with one year of eligibility remaining.
Wollschlaeger, standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 305 pounds, will bring additional strength to the Wildcats’ front. The Illinois native was a standout at Bowling Green, where he earned Third-Team All-MAC honors in 2023 and First-Team All-MAC recognition in 2024. With a career-best 76.6 PFF grade last season, he will slot in at right tackle for Kentucky in 2025, also with one year of eligibility remaining.
With the additions of these two seasoned players, Kentucky’s offensive line, known as the “Big Blue Wall,” is shaping up to be a formidable force in the SEC. The Wildcats are expected to continue targeting other offensive line positions, particularly centers and left tackles, to further strengthen the unit.
These additions represent a significant step forward as Kentucky works to enhance its offensive line and continue building a competitive football program.
