Florida State football has been making big moves this offseason, and a new potential addition to their defense could elevate the Seminoles’ chances for success in 2025. UCF defensive tackle Lee Hunter, a standout performer for the Knights, is currently visiting FSU as the team looks to fill gaps on their defensive line after losing key players like Joshua Farmer and Darrell Jackson Jr. to the NFL.
Hunter, a 6’4″, 321-pound powerhouse, was originally recruited by FSU in high school but chose UCF instead. However, after a productive season in 2024 with 45 tackles (10 for loss) and one sack, he’s now back on the Seminoles’ radar as a potential transfer. With a strong connection to FSU’s new coaching staff, including defensive line coach Terrance Knighton, Hunter could be the missing piece in FSU’s quest for a dominant defensive line.
If Hunter commits, he would immediately step into a starting role and provide much-needed depth to FSU’s defensive front. Florida State is hoping to seal the deal and secure Hunter’s commitment during this visit, making it a crucial moment for both the Seminoles and their revamped defense. Stay tuned to see if Hunter becomes the next big addition to Florida State’s defensive lineup!
