Auburn football has been busy reshaping its roster via the transfer portal as the Tigers prepare for the 2025 season. While the transfer window remains open, Auburn has already made significant strides with four key commitments that will impact several positions.
The first and most impactful addition was former Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold. A 5-star recruit out of high school, Arnold brings a wealth of experience to Auburn after starting nine games for the Sooners in 2024. He passed for 1,421 yards with 12 touchdowns and just three interceptions, making him a crucial piece for the Tigers’ quarterback room heading into the new season.
Next, Auburn bolstered its backfield with the addition of UConn running back Durell Robinson. Robinson had a breakout 2024 season, rushing for 731 yards and eight touchdowns after transferring from Charlotte. His impressive performance adds depth to Auburn’s running back group and strengthens the offensive side of the ball.
Auburn also added Australian punter Hudson Kaak from Oklahoma State, providing stability at the specialist position. With two years of eligibility remaining, Kaak will look to continue his strong punting career in the SEC.
Finally, the Tigers made a significant move along the offensive line with the commitment of Virginia Tech left tackle Xavier Chaplin. Known for his consistency and protection, Chaplin allowed only two sacks, zero quarterback hits, and 10 quarterback hurries in 2024, providing a much-needed upgrade for Auburn’s offensive line.
With these four key additions, Auburn is making a strong push to improve its roster for the upcoming season, with more moves expected as the transfer portal continues to shape college football rosters.
