Alabama football continues to make moves in the Transfer Portal, having recently secured its first commitment with Florida DL Kelby Collins. However, the Crimson Tide’s roster isn’t complete yet, and they still have specific areas to address as they look to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
Wide Receiver
With multiple departures at wide receiver, including Kobe Prentice and Kendrick Law, Alabama is monitoring the Transfer Portal for potential additions. Miami’s Isaiah Horton, a 6-foot-4 wideout, seems to be the top target. Horton posted solid numbers for the Hurricanes with 56 catches, 616 yards, and five touchdowns. NC State’s Kevin Concepcion has also visited, but Horton appears to be the preferred choice for the Tide.
Offensive Line
Although Alabama is bringing back most of its starters, adding depth on the offensive line is a priority. The Tide is targeting Washington’s Kahlee Tafai and Texas A&M’s Kam Dewberry as potential interior additions. With competition at guard positions, Alabama hopes to bolster its O-line for the future.
Defensive Line
Adding to the defensive line remains a priority for Alabama, especially with key departures. After securing Collins, Alabama has been linked to Texas A&M’s Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy, a promising talent who could fill a major gap at nose tackle.
Linebacker
Alabama is eyeing experienced linebackers like Colorado’s Nikhai Hill-Green, who brings three years of starting experience. Depending on NFL Draft decisions, Alabama may need to add depth, especially if Deontae Lawson turns pro.
Cornerback
While Alabama’s cornerback room is solid, the Crimson Tide could target additional talent if Domani Jackson declares for the NFL. Utah’s Cameron Calhoun, a promising freshman, is among the players being evaluated.
With key spots still needing attention, Alabama will continue its efforts to bolster the roster through the Transfer Portal, keeping the program competitive for the 2025 season.
