ESPN’s “College GameDay” has revealed its destinations for the first-round matchups of the College Football Playoff (CFP), promising an action-packed weekend for fans. The iconic college football show will be live from South Bend, Indiana, on Friday, Dec. 20, at 3:30 p.m. ET to cover the Indiana Hoosiers versus Notre Dame Fighting Irish game. The following day, Saturday, Dec. 21, the crew will broadcast from Columbus, Ohio, at 9 a.m. ET, ahead of the Tennessee Volunteers taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
This marks the first round of the expanded CFP, and all four games will take place on college campuses, a thrilling prospect for fans. Friday’s primetime clash features Indiana and Notre Dame at 8:00 p.m. ET. Saturday’s triple-header begins with SMU at Penn State at noon, followed by Clemson at Texas at 4:00 p.m. ET, and wraps up with Tennessee at Ohio State at 8:00 p.m. ET.
Top-seeded teams Oregon, Georgia, Boise State, and Arizona State earned first-round byes after clinching their respective conference titles, securing their spots in the quarterfinals.
