Jones, who holds the title of Oklahoma’s all-time passing leader with 16,646 career yards—also the most in Big 12 history—joins the Tennessee staff after a successful college career and a seven-year NFL stint. While Jones is no stranger to high-level football, this will be his first coaching job after transitioning from a player to a coach.
His role will primarily focus on supporting Tennessee’s star quarterback, Nico Iamaleava, as he heads into his second season as the Vols’ starter.
