The Florida State Seminoles are looking to bounce back in 2025 after a disappointing 2024 season. With a revamped roster featuring 36 newcomers from the transfer portal, high school, and junior college ranks, FSU is gearing up for a fresh start under head coach Mike Norvell. Although the transfer portal has slowed down, FSU’s roster is largely set, and predictions for the 2025 depth chart are already taking shape.
At quarterback, transfer Thomas Castellanos is expected to lead the offense, with Brock Glenn serving as his backup. Castellanos, a dual-threat playmaker, fits well into FSU’s new offensive scheme. In the backfield, Roydell Williams and Jaylin Lucas are poised to be the primary ball carriers. Williams, returning from injury, and Lucas, a dynamic runner, should help FSU’s run-first approach.
The wide receiver corps is also set for a significant upgrade. Transfer Duce Robinson, a physical matchup nightmare, is expected to be the primary weapon in the passing attack, with Hykeem Williams alongside him. Squirrel White is likely to fill the slot role, bringing stability and playmaking ability to the group.
At tight end, Randy Pittman, a seasoned veteran, will play a key role in the offense, with Landen Thomas providing support after a promising freshman season. The offensive line sees some major changes as well, with Gunnar Hansen leading the charge at left tackle, while Micah Pettus anchors the right side. Newcomers Adrian Medley and Richie Leonard IV will compete for guard spots, and Luke Petitbon, a transfer from the portal, will solidify the center position.
With so many new faces and a revamped offensive philosophy, FSU’s 2025 offense has the potential to rise from its 2-10 record in 2024 and become a force to be reckoned with in college football. The road to success begins now as the coaching staff works to integrate these new players into the system.
