Georgia football’s annual Pro Day is set for Wednesday in Athens, giving NFL Draft prospects one last chance to impress scouts. For some, this is a chance to build on a strong Combine performance, while for others, it’s an opportunity to redeem themselves. Regardless, this workout could be the most important of their careers.
While every player needs to shine, three Bulldogs in particular have the most at stake.
DB Dan Jackson
Dan Jackson, a former walk-on turned starter, has been a fan favorite due to his underdog story and solid production. In 2024, he recorded 64 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and two interceptions. Despite his impact, Jackson was not invited to the NFL Combine, making Georgia’s Pro Day his only chance to showcase his skills in front of scouts. A strong performance could convince a team to take a chance on him.
LB Chaz Chambliss
Chambliss, like Jackson, was snubbed from the Combine, despite leading Georgia in sacks last season with 6.5. He also recorded 41 tackles and a fumble recovery. Given his pass-rushing ability, he seems likely to get drafted, but a standout Pro Day would remove any doubts and solidify his stock.
S Malaki Starks
Unlike Jackson and Chambliss, Malaki Starks is already a projected first-round pick. However, his NFL Combine performance didn’t quite meet expectations, leading some to label him a “loser” of the event. While his draft stock hasn’t taken a huge hit, another underwhelming showing at Pro Day could hurt his standing. This is his chance to remind scouts why he was the top-ranked safety heading into the draft process.
With NFL scouts closely evaluating every drill, Georgia’s Pro Day is a crucial moment for these three players. Their performances could make all the difference in their draft positioning.
