Michigan State basketball star Jase Richardson continues to draw attention as the 2025 NBA Draft approaches. ESPN’s NBA Draft expert Jonathan Givony recently released his updated “Big Board,” ranking the top 100 draft prospects, with Richardson coming in at No. 20.
Despite standing slightly under 6-foot-2 in shoes and weighing 178 pounds, Richardson’s impressive skill set and shooting ability have positioned him as a first-round prospect. Givony highlighted Richardson’s potential, noting his skill level, shot-making ability, and defensive intensity. “His pace, skill level, feel for the game, and shot-making prowess give him an outstanding framework to build on,” Givony wrote. Additionally, Richardson’s selfless play and ability to adapt to a larger shot-creation role late in the season make him a dynamic prospect.
The competition for guard positions in the latter half of the first round is expected to be fierce, with numerous talented players jockeying for selection. However, Richardson’s consistency and versatility could make him a desirable choice for teams seeking a guard capable of contributing immediately while possessing long-term developmental potential.
