Texas A&M women’s golf has made a significant addition to its roster with the signing of Louise Reau, a standout from Georgia Southern University. Reau’s transfer marks a pivotal moment for the Aggies as they bolster their lineup with one of collegiate golf’s most promising talents.

During her tenure at Georgia Southern, Reau, a native of Béziers, France, compiled an impressive list of accolades. In her freshman year, she made history by becoming the first player in Sun Belt Conference history to earn both Golfer of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in the same season . She set a program record with a season scoring average of 71.00 and became the first individual in program history to compete at an NCAA Regional, where she finished tied for 10th with a 5-under-par performance .

Reau’s sophomore season saw continued excellence. She secured her third career win at the Tiger Classic, shooting a program-best 7-under-par 65 in the final round . Additionally, she tied for fifth at the Mason Rudolph Championship with a 10-under-par total, the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history . Her consistent performance earned her multiple Sun Belt Golfer of the Week honors throughout her time at Georgia Southern.

Reau’s decision to transfer to Texas A&M signifies her readiness to compete at the highest level of collegiate golf. The Aggies, competing in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), provide a platform for Reau to showcase her skills against some of the nation’s top talent. Her addition is expected to have an immediate impact on the team’s performance and aspirations.

Texas A&M head coach Gerrod Chadwell expressed enthusiasm about Reau’s arrival, stating, “Louise brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success. Her dedication and competitive spirit align perfectly with our program’s values. We’re excited to see her contribute to our team’s growth and success.”

As Reau transitions to Texas A&M, the golf community will be watching closely to see how her talents translate to the SEC stage. Given her past achievements and unwavering commitment to excellence, expectations are high for her continued success in Aggieland.
