Otega Oweh, the All-SEC guard and one of Kentucky basketball’s most celebrated athletes, is giving back to the Lexington community in a big way this summer. Fresh off his decision to return to the Wildcats for one final season, Oweh has announced his inaugural Otega Oweh Basketball ProCamp, scheduled for July 23 at the Sports Center on Mall Road.
This one-day camp is set to provide boys and girls in grades 1-8 a unique opportunity to learn basketball fundamentals while experiencing the joy of the game under the guidance of a Kentucky legend. Participants will work directly with Oweh, who will share his expertise through drills, interactive games, and motivational talks designed to inspire the next generation of basketball stars.
“I’m thrilled to connect with our young fans and share my passion for basketball,” Oweh said. “This camp is about more than just improving skills on the court—it’s about building confidence and having fun.”
The camp offers a holistic experience for players of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned youth athletes. Attendees will engage in position-specific drills, receive personalized feedback, and compete in team games, all while being mentored by Oweh and an elite coaching staff. Individual and team awards will be presented in each age group to celebrate standout performances.
Participants will also receive a limited-edition Otega Oweh Basketball ProCamp t-shirt and the chance to bring a personal item to be signed. Each camper will take home a cherished keepsake: an individual photo with Oweh himself.
