Representing his native Canada at the 2025 FIBA Under-19 Basketball World Cup, the 7-foot-9 standout displayed his unique blend of height, defensive presence, and potential in a high-stakes quarterfinal matchup against Team USA.
Though Canada fell 108–102 in a tight and hard-fought contest, Rioux left a lasting impression. Starting for Team Canada, he logged 12 minutes and tallied three points (1-for-2 FG), two rebounds, two blocks, and one steal before foul trouble limited his minutes. Despite his abbreviated appearance, the towering center turned heads with his ability to disrupt shots and anchor the paint defensively — providing a glimpse of what’s to come as he prepares to step into a much-anticipated collegiate debut for Florida.
