Known as “The Tyler Rose,” Earl Campbell rose to national prominence in the 1970s as a bruising running back for the Texas Longhorns. He then went on to dominate in the NFL with the Houston Oilers, earning five Pro Bowl selections and NFL MVP honors in 1979.
