ANN ARBOR, MI — The pride of Michigan has never twirled brighter!
The University of Michigan’s elite baton twirlers — Ashley, Ella, and Morgan — delivered dazzling performances at the 2025 NBTA (National Baton Twirling Association) Nationals, with all three Wolverines making it to the Collegiate Finals in a show of poise, power, and pure Michigan excellence.
Each twirler brought artistry, athleticism, and unwavering spirit to the national stage:
- Ashley made her mark as the 5th Runner-Up in the College Miss Majorette of America competition and also placed 6th in National Collegiate Solo, demonstrating grace under pressure and competitive fire.
- Ella dazzled with a stunning performance, earning 2nd place in Rhythmic Twirl and 4th in National Collegiate Solo, proving herself to be a force of rhythm and finesse.
- Morgan spun her way into Wolverine history with a 5th place finish in National Collegiate Downfield, and the celebration doesn’t end there—she’s now headed to Italy as part of Team USA at the International Baton Twirling Federation World Championships in Turin!
These achievements are more than just medals and placements. They are a testament to the relentless dedication, hours of training, and the true Michigan spirit that each of these women carry with every twirl, toss, and turn.
Michigan Band Director Dr. Andrea Brown shared her pride:
“We couldn’t be more proud of Ashley, Ella, and Morgan. They represented Michigan with dignity and dazzling skill. And now, as Morgan prepares to represent Team USA, we’ll all be cheering her on — Go Blue and Go USA!”
The news has lit up social media, with fans, alumni, and baton enthusiasts flooding the internet with congratulations and support for the trio. #UMichBand and #GoBlue are trending once again — and this time, it’s thanks to three twirlers who are making Michigan proud on a national and international stage.
As Morgan heads off to Turin to represent her country and her school, one thing is certain: these Wolverines don’t just perform — they inspire.
