The Florida Gators opened their 2025 soccer campaign on a rough note, falling 5–0 to in-state rivals Florida State in Tallahassee. While the result was disappointing, Florida head coach Samantha Bohon emphasized the importance of learning from early challenges. “We’re building a young squad with a lot of potential,” Bohon said. “Playing against one of the top programs in the country will help us grow and prepare for the SEC grind ahead.”

The Gators now turn their focus to upcoming non-conference games, where they’ll look to regain confidence and establish momentum. With a roster still finding chemistry, patience and development will be key themes in the early part of the season.
