Bayern Munich produced yet another statement performance on Saturday evening, brushing aside Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 to maintain their perfect start to the Bundesliga season — and they did it in record-breaking fashion.
It took just 15 seconds for Luis Díaz to ignite the scoreboard at Deutsche Bank Park, registering the fastest goal of the Bundesliga season so far. The move was pure Bayern brilliance — goalkeeper Manuel Neuer launched an inch-perfect long pass from his area, Serge Gnabry sprinted down the right and whipped in a low cross that Díaz coolly tucked into the far corner. Frankfurt’s defence had barely touched the ball before the champions were ahead.
The hosts never recovered from the early shock, and Bayern, relentless in their pressing and precision, doubled their advantage in the 27th minute through none other than Harry Kane. The England captain — who has been in blistering form since arriving in Munich — unleashed a low drive from distance to make it 2-0. The goal also made Kane the first player in Bundesliga history to score 11 goals in the first six league matches of a season, another milestone in his record-breaking campaign.
Kane’s strike came after he had an earlier effort ruled out for offside, while Frankfurt captain Robin Koch nearly turned a clearance into his own net under intense pressure. At the other end, Jean-Matteo Bahoya’s curling effort briefly gave the home fans hope, but VAR intervened, ruling it out for a handball in the buildup.
In the second half, Bayern controlled the tempo with trademark composure. Frankfurt, who had scored 17 goals in their first five league outings, found no way past the Bavarians’ watertight defence. Díaz capped off a brilliant individual performance with his second goal in the 84th minute, converting Raphaël Guerreiro’s cross to seal all three points.
There was a brief concern late on when Kane was substituted after a knock to his ankle, but the striker quickly eased fears after the match, saying:
“I took a knock, but I’m fine. A few days and I’ll be ready for England duty.”
With 10 wins from 10 and a top-of-the-table clash with Borussia Dortmund looming, Bayern look every bit the unstoppable force — fast, focused, and frighteningly efficient.
