Juventus are reportedly preparing a **January move** for Bayern Munich’s versatile full-back **Raphael Guerreiro**, as head coach **Igor Tudor** looks to strengthen his options out wide ahead of the second half of the season.
According to **Tuttosport**, the Bianconeri are short of natural wing-backs and are exploring a **low-cost deal** for the experienced Portuguese defender. Tudor, who remains committed to his preferred **three-at-the-back formation**, is keen to add depth and tactical flexibility to his squad.
The Croatian coach experimented with a 3-5-2 system against Milan in Serie A, but Juventus continue to rely heavily on a limited group of wide players. At present, **Andrea Cambiaso**, **Joao Mario**, and **Juan Cabal** are the only natural wing-backs in the squad. Central midfielder **Weston McKennie** and defender **Pierre Kalulu** have often been forced to fill in on the flanks this season, highlighting the club’s lack of options in wide areas.
Guerreiro, 31, will turn 32 in December and will enter the **final six months of his contract** during the winter transfer window. With a contract renewal in Bavaria appearing unlikely, Bayern Munich are expected to listen to offers in January rather than risk losing him for free next summer.
So far this season, the former **Borussia Dortmund** star has mostly featured from the **bench** in the Bundesliga, and reports suggest Bayern are open to parting ways if a reasonable bid arrives.
Guerreiro’s vast experience across Europe makes him an appealing target. He has made **over 200 Bundesliga appearances**, featured in **more than 100 Ligue 1 matches**, and played **57 games in the UEFA Champions League**. In addition to his ability to operate as a left-back or wing-back, he is also capable of playing in **central midfield**, offering valuable versatility to Tudor’s system.
A January move to Turin would reunite Guerreiro with Serie A football for the first time in his career, as Juventus aim to bolster their squad for the **Champions League** and domestic title push. With his contract situation uncertain and opportunities limited in Munich, a winter switch could benefit both parties.
