Parramatta Eels speedster Josh Addo-Carr has revealed his desire to finish his NRL career in blue and gold, following a sensational return to form that has earned him a recall to the Australian Kangaroos squad.

The 30-year-old winger, who joined the Eels at the start of the 2025 season after his stint with the Canterbury Bulldogs, has enjoyed a career resurgence under head coach Jason Ryles. His renewed energy, sharp footwork, and defensive commitment have not only reignited his reputation as one of the NRL’s elite finishers but also placed him firmly back in the national frame.

Addo-Carr’s recall came as a replacement for the injured Xavier Coates and Zac Lomax, yet his selection was far from a mere stopgap. His form has impressed Kangaroos boss Kevin Walters, who praised the winger’s leadership and composure on the field.

Now, with his current contract set to expire at the end of the 2026 season, Addo-Carr is eligible to negotiate with rival clubs from November 1. However, the veteran has made his intentions clear — he wants to stay.

“Personally, I want to sign another few deals and finish my career at Parra,” Addo-Carr told News Corp. “The coaching staff, the boys, even the administration — they’re all great people to be around. I can’t be happier with the move here.”

He also credited Ryles and the Eels’ high-performance team for reigniting his confidence and shaping him into the player he always wanted to be.

“Rylesy and the performance team have developed me in ways I didn’t expect. Without the support of the Eels, I wouldn’t be here.”

The winger’s transformation at Parramatta has been one of the standout storylines of the 2025 NRL season. Once known purely for his blistering pace, Addo-Carr has evolved into a more complete player — using sharp agility, smart positioning, and improved tackling to maintain his edge even as age begins to creep in.

Having already won premierships with Melbourne Storm and represented both New South Wales and Australia, Addo-Carr’s focus now seems set on leaving a lasting legacy in Western Sydney.

If the Eels continue to build momentum and Addo-Carr extends his stay, fans could be witnessing the final, golden chapter of “The Foxx’s” unforgettable rugby league journey.
