The Emirates Stadium will no doubt be lively for Arsenalโs Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night. While there is no real Gunners team news, so to speak, but manager Mikel Arteta did provide updates on Arsenalโs trio of long-term knee injury absentees- Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz and Noni Madueke โ this weekend.
Letโs take a look at what Arteta had to say about all three.
Champions League Match Day 3 of 8 FYIs
Atletico Madrid at Arsenal FC

UCL Standing, Form: Atletico Madrid 10th, 3 pts, LW Arsenal FC 5th, 6 pts WW
Martin Odegaard
โThereโs no definite date for his return, but heโs evolving well. Itโs very unlucky whatโs happening with him and his injuries this season, but I think he will be back in a few weeks. It could be [after the next Intโ break], but weโll have to see how he progresses.
โItโs too early to give an answer.โ
So there you have it, they just donโt know, in regards to the team captain.
Potential Return Date: N/A, probably late November
Kai Havertz
โItโs very difficult, thereโs still a lot to do in his rehab. Heโs really pushing it. We know Kai, and thatโs why we love him so much, but we have to wait and see.
โHe wants to break every timeline, Iโm sure, but thatโs why we have to protect him and make sure that when he comes back, he comes back for the long term.โ
That is very encouraging to hear- how heโs trying to beat every timeline that they set for him.
Potential Return Date: After the November international break
Noni Maduke
โHeโs getting closer as well. Heโs going to start very soon to do some running and stuff, and then again, letโs see how that reacts.โ
Potential Return Date: Sometime after the November internationals
