He made his NRL debut on 27 June 2011 for the St George Illawarra Dragons against Manly-Warringah, debuting at just 20 years of age. What followed was an extraordinary 15-season career with the Dragons, where he became one of the club’s most reliable and battle-tested forwards.
Across 250+ first-grade appearances, de Belin built a reputation as a no-nonsense middle forward who thrives in the tough carries, defensive grind, and momentum-shifting moments that define elite rugby league. His durability has long been one of his defining traits, consistently answering the call week after week and setting standards for professionalism and resilience.
At representative level, de Belin’s career has been equally respected. He represented Country NSW in 2016 and 2017, earning recognition for his performances at the highest domestic level. He was also named in NSW State of Origin squads, a testament to the regard in which he was held among the game’s elite forwards. In 2023, he took the international stage with Papua New Guinea, making his debut and contributing to their campaign in the Pacific Bowl — an experience that further broadened his leadership and global rugby league impact.
