The Florida State women’s golf team continues to establish itself as one of the premier programs in collegiate golf, capturing its fourth consecutive tournament title with a dominant performance at the prestigious Clover Cup in Mesa, Arizona. Ranked No. 6 in the nation, the Seminoles showcased their depth and consistency, finishing the tournament with a team score of 15-under-par, a remarkable 10 strokes ahead of their closest competitor.
Head Coach Amy Bond praised her team’s effort and focus, saying, “This group is determined to play their best every time they step on the course. Winning four tournaments in a row is a testament to their hard work, resilience, and ability to stay composed under pressure.”
Leading the way for Florida State was sophomore standout Olivia Vasquez, who earned her second individual title of the season. Vasquez posted a sensational final-round score of 67, finishing the tournament at 8-under-par and securing a three-stroke victory over the runner-up. Her precision on the greens and steady play under challenging conditions were instrumental in the team’s success.
“It feels incredible to contribute to the team’s success and bring home another win,” said Vasquez. “Our team chemistry and support for one another are what make us so strong. We push each other to be better every day.”
Freshman phenom Mia Kim also delivered an impressive performance, finishing tied for third at 4-under-par. Her consistent play throughout the tournament continues to highlight her emergence as a key player for the Seminoles. Senior captain Emma Zhang rounded out the top-five finishers for Florida State, demonstrating her leadership and experience on the course.
The Seminoles’ streak of four consecutive tournament victories marks a historic achievement for the program, solidifying their status as one of the favorites heading into the postseason. Their ability to dominate in various conditions and courses underscores their versatility and preparation.
Florida State’s next challenge will be the ACC Women’s Golf Championship, where they will aim to defend their conference title. With their recent momentum, the Seminoles are poised to make a deep run in the NCAA Championships later this spring.
