Senior guard Brice Williams has etched his name into Nebraska basketball history by setting a new single-season scoring record. Williams amassed a total of 713 points during the 2024–25 season, surpassing the previous record of 708 points held by James Palmer Jr. since the 2018–19 season.
The record-breaking performance came during Nebraska’s 77–66 victory over UCF in the championship game of the College Basketball Crown tournament at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Williams contributed 21 points in the game, helping the Cornhuskers secure the title
Throughout the season, Williams consistently delivered high-scoring performances. Notably, he set the school’s single-game scoring record with 43 points in a double-overtime loss to Ohio State on March 4. His efforts were instrumental in Nebraska’s successful season, culminating in the College Basketball Crown championship.
