Jan-Christian Dreesen: “We can afford all the transfers we want.” We have an excellent capital ratio and FC Bayern is doing very well. But we want to be able to pay a player without going to the bank. FC Bayern isn’t in their DNA. We want to be able to pay with our own funds. Hence Uli’s statement regarding the term account. MSU Reportedly Increasing Salary Pool for Next AD: MSU is set to increase the annual salary for its new athletic director to the “$1.5 million” range. This marks a substantial jump from the $900,000 earned by former AD.

Michigan State University is making a bold move in its search for a new athletic director, signaling its intention to make a significant hire by reportedly increasing the salary pool for the position. The next AD could be in place as early as mid-June, according to a report from The Detroit News.

Tony Paul, a reporter for The Detroit News, revealed on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that MSU is set to increase the annual salary for its new athletic director to the “$1.5 million” range. This marks a substantial jump from the $900,000 earned by former AD Alan Haller, who departed earlier this month after nearly four years in the role.

The decision to boost the salary pool indicates that the university is targeting a high-profile candidate with a strong reputation in the athletics world. By committing additional resources, Michigan State is aiming to attract a leader capable of navigating the increasingly complex landscape of collegiate athletics, particularly in the Big Ten Conference.

Paul’s report also provided the first glimpse of a timeline for the hire, suggesting that the new athletic director could be appointed by mid-June. Until now, the process had remained under wraps with no clear updates since Haller’s departure on May 11.

Haller’s exit came amidst a period of significant change within the MSU athletics program. During his tenure, Haller oversaw several critical decisions, including coaching hires and infrastructure investments. However, his dismissal marked the start of a new chapter for the university, which is now seeking a fresh vision for its athletic department.

Two internal candidates were named interim co-athletic directors following Haller’s departure, ensuring continuity during the transition period. However, the recent increase in the salary pool suggests the university is prepared to look beyond internal options to secure the right fit for the role.

This strategic move reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening its athletics program while fostering success across all sports. With the timeline for the hire narrowing and speculation mounting, Spartan fans can expect to hear more about the new leader of Michigan State athletics in the coming weeks.

“The Spartans are gearing up for greatness – a new era of leadership awaits!”

The silent hero at Säbener Straße: How a Munich homegrown became a priceless treasure and why this story shows what really makes FC Bayern There are moments in football that tell more than a thousand goals. Moments when it becomes clear who belongs to the heart of a club and who doesn’t. The summer of 2024 was such a moment for Josip Stanisic – but hardly anyone knew at first. While the transfer rumor kitchen was in full swing and the names of superstars were rumored through the media, behind the scenes of Säbener Straße a story was taking place, exemplary….

After Wirtz, to Woltemade, to Huijsen, Bayern Munich is threatened with the next transfer debacle. But this time not because you couldn’t commit a desired player, but because you’re about to lose a key player. Dayot Upamecano, the French head of defense and the heart of the Bayern defense, demands a Davies-level salary – and Bayern is hesitating. A fatal mistake that could be avenged. Because Liverpool, Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are ready to offer exactly what Munich refuses: appreciation. The Offensive Offer: The Moment That Changed Everything Summer 2025 should actually be the moment when Bavaria and Upamecano seal their future together.
