The Florida State University (FSU) softball program continues its legacy of excellence as standout players Isa Torres and Kennedy Harp have been honored as 2025 NFCA All-Americans. Torres earned a coveted spot on the First Team, while Harp was recognized on the Second Team, capping off a remarkable season for both athletes. In addition to individual accolades, the Seminoles have been awarded the No. 5 national seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament, underlining the team’s elite status heading into postseason play.
Isa Torres, a junior infielder, has been a driving force for the Seminoles all season. Known for her consistency at the plate and exceptional defensive skills, Torres posted one of the most impressive statistical campaigns in program history. She led the team in batting average, on-base percentage, and stolen bases, while also contributing clutch hits in critical moments. Her leadership on and off the field played a crucial role in FSU’s success. Earning NFCA First Team All-American honors places her among the top players in the nation and highlights her as one of the premier talents in collegiate softball.
Meanwhile, Kennedy Harp, a sophomore outfielder, emerged as a breakout star this season. Her combination of speed, power, and fielding ability made her an indispensable part of the Seminoles’ lineup. Harp led the team in RBIs and extra-base hits, consistently providing offensive firepower from the middle of the order. Her recognition as a Second Team All-American reflects her growth as a player and her significant contribution to FSU’s deep tournament run.
The honors for Torres and Harp reflect the broader success of a Seminoles squad that has dominated much of the regular season. With a balanced roster featuring a strong pitching staff, experienced infielders, and explosive hitters, FSU has secured the No. 5 national seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament. This seeding gives the team a favorable position as it looks to make a return trip to the Women’s College World Series.
Head Coach Lonni Alameda praised both players for their dedication and work ethic. “Isa and Kennedy have both shown what it means to be elite student-athletes. Their recognition is well-deserved, and it’s a testament to the work they put in every single day. We’re excited to see what this team can accomplish in the tournament.”
With postseason play about to begin, all eyes will be on Florida State as they aim for another deep tournament run. Backed by star power and momentum, the Seminoles are poised to make headlines — and perhaps even history — once again.
