LEXINGTON, KY — Few names evoke the same level of clutch magic and Big Blue pride as Aaron Harrison, the Kentucky Wildcats legend whose unforgettable NCAA Tournament moments are etched into the heart of every Wildcat fan. As the Big Blue Nation continues to honor its stars from past and present, a new wave of appreciation has swept across Kentucky fandom—this time for the man who delivered in the biggest moments.
Harrison, a former McDonald’s All-American, joined the Kentucky Wildcats in the 2013–2014 season alongside his twin brother, Andrew. Under head coach John Calipari, Aaron became a household name with his calm demeanor, lethal shooting, and fearlessness in pressure-packed situations.
But what truly immortalized him in Kentucky basketball history were his three consecutive game-winning three-pointers in the 2014 NCAA Tournament—against Louisville in the Sweet 16, Michigan in the Elite Eight, and Wisconsin in the Final Four. Each shot came in the final minute of the game, and each one delivered a knockout punch that propelled Kentucky to the national championship game. Though the Wildcats fell just short of the title that year, Aaron Harrison’s legacy as a March Madness hero was cemented forever.
